Camino’s OK2BME program offers a set of supportive services for Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, asexual (2SLGBTQIA+) and questioning kids, teens, adults, and their families in Waterloo Region.

Groups and Workshops

Our groups and workshops connect people who share similar goals and experiences to connect and learn about a variety of topics to foster their belonging, wellbeing, and mental health. Some of our 2SLGBTQIA+ groups include: Rainbow Rhythms, NeuroQueer Quest, Gender Journeys, Adulting 101, Families in TRANSition and much more.

Counselling

We offer confidential counselling in Waterloo Region for 2SLGBTQIA+ kids, teens, and adults, as well as their families and supporters. Our professional counsellors, many with their own lived experience, have extensive knowledge in dealing with 2SLGBTQIA+ related issues, along with others such as anxiety, depression, trauma, parent/guardian-teen relations and much more.
 
Whether you want support around things relating to your orientation or identity, or just want a space to talk in an affirming environment - we are here for you.

Youth Groups

Camino’s OK2BME Youth Group is a social and recreational group for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth ages 12-18. This group provides facilitated support and social opportunities for youth. The goal of this group is to create a space where you can hang out with other 2SLGBTQIA+ teens and meet some new people – all in a safe and respectful environment!

Youth Leadership Team

The Youth Leadership Team is a group for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth in grades 7 to 12 (ages 12-18) to come together, gain leadership skills, and support their community! 

The Youth Leadership Team helps organize and run OK2BME’s annual Gender and Sexuality Conference (formerly known as Gay Straight Alliance Conference) and other events for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth across Waterloo Region. Members of the team develop community leadership skills such as facilitation, event planning, budgeting, and teamwork.
