The Family Navigator collaborates with young families to determine the range of service needs. With their extensive knowledge of mental health, infant and early childhood attachment, the Family Navigator acts as a bridge between the family and services for young parents offered by various community agencies.

Services offered will include basic needs, child development support, parenting support, referrals to community resources/supports, mental health support, advocacy, and more.

School Program for Pregnant and Parenting Youth

In partnership with the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB), we provide an Education Community Partnership Program that gives young parents the opportunity to receive elementary or secondary school credits. Within the school program, there are pre-natal parenting and skills courses that can be taken for credits. The revised curriculum accommodates varying levels of concentration, self-discipline, learning styles and wellbeing to support the student’s needs and goals.

This program is available to any pregnant or parenting youth up to age 21 in the community.
